Lactic Acid

Lactic acid, an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid), is a natural exfoliant found in various foods and when applied topically, resurfaces skin for a brighter, smoother and more even-toned complexion. As it exfoliates, lactic acid helps prevent breakouts by dissolving the bond between dead skin cells, a build up of which not only blocks pores (causing breakouts) but also prevents products from effectively penetrating skin. Lactic acid encourages cellular turnover, helping to sweep away dull, damaged cells to reveal fresher, younger and smoother skin.
